Q: Why do you not take pre-orders for items?

A:  There are several problems with pre-orders that are out of our control and depend solely on the manufacturer. Unlike other companies we do not want to collect money for a product that still has not been finalized. The item may have serious changes in the original design that alters your desire to purchase the item. The item may have serious release delays and no one really wants to put a deposit or pay for a product that far in advanced. We prefer to have our customers sign up for the waiting list and we can keep them updated on the product.

 

Q: I signed up on the waiting list for an item and now I received an email stating the item is discontinued, why?

A: There are several reasons why this may happen. First the manufacturer may have had licensing issues and never released the product. Or it could be that the item truly has been discontinued. We normally leave an item on our site for as much as 6 months before purging the database. The reason we do this is sometimes the manufacturer will find product in there warehouse and offer them to us. By doing so we already know if there is still a demand for the product.

 

Q: I am trying to place an order and items I do not want are in my cart.

A:  We offer different specials every month. Some of these are for free items with a purchase that matches what you have placed in your cart. Our Specials Page contains a list of the current month’s specials and how to qualify for them. You will have an item appear in your cart with a total cost of zero because it is an automatic free item, no coupon required.

 

Q:  I do not want the free item, Now What?

A: Just enter a zero in the quantity field and check the red "x" next to the item in your cart. Once you have done this click on the update cart button and the item should be removed.

 

Q: Your shipping page states you ship Monday - Friday. Then why am I receiving a shipping confirmation on a Saturday?

A: Yes we do ship Monday - Friday, but during times when order traffic is heavier (Usually October - April) we have the USPS scheduled to pick up on Saturday's. However they are not consistent with the timing so there is no guarantee that we will have all our packages ready for them. We would rather exceed your expectations then to commit to something that may disappoint you.

 

Q: I need my order Expedited for next day delivery but I do not see that option available during check-out.

A: We do not have next day delivery available on our check-out page due to the fact that there are many variables that could not allow for this to happen. If you need an item expedited you may call the order into us at 610-443-3150 or contact us through the live support chat. Depending upon the time of the day and the serve requested we can verify for you if we can make this happen.

 

Q: I want to pay by check. How long will it take to ship my order?

A: When mailing a check it could take as many as 7 days before the postal service delivers the letter. We process all checks electronically the day they are received. There is usually a delay of 5-7 business days before the funds have cleared this process. You may fax the completed check toll free to 1-866-371-7185 to speed up the process.

 

Q: I just faxed my check for payment. Do I still have to mail it in?

A: No if you fax your order and check to us you do not have to mail it in. We process all checks electronically so the paper version is not necessary.

 

Q: I want more of an item then you have available on line.

A: If we do not have sufficient quantities available for your order you can email us at customer.service@collectorsgateway.com or call our office at 610-443-3150. We can verify if there are additional quantities available for you. Since we do sell on other online and off line venues we do not show our entire inventory on our website. This greatly helps to reduce over selling an item.

 

Q: What if one of the items I purchased is out of stock?

A: We would like to say that this never happens but it does happen from time to time. Our policy has always been to contact you to verify if you still want to complete the rest of your order.

 

Q: If an item is out of stock why would you not simply ship the remainder of the order?

A: We understand that sometimes you add other items to your cart to maximize the shipping cost. If the item you really wanted is the item that is out of stock than maybe you really do not want the rest of the order. We prefer to give you the opportunity to continue with the transaction.
